EarthBody Breathwork Facilitator Training

Learn how to safely and confidently guide breathwork sessions
in a way that is grounded, trauma-informed, and responsive in real time.

This training teaches you the practical skills required to facilitate both one-on-one and group breathwork experiences.

You will learn how to:

  • Guide conscious connected breathing

  • Understand and work with the nervous system

  • Support emotional expression safely

  • Read what is happening in real time

  • Hold space without forcing or over-directing

This is not about creating intense experiences.

It is about becoming a facilitator who knows how to work with what is actually happening in the body, in the moment.

What Makes This Training Different

Many breathwork trainings focus on intensity, release, or peak experiences.

This approach is different.

EarthBody is a framework that emphasizes:

  • Capacity over intensity

  • Pacing over pushing

  • Presence over performance

  • Integration over catharsis

You will learn how to guide sessions that are grounded, responsive, and sustainable for both you and the people you work with.

What You Will Be Able to Do

After completing this training pathway, you will be able to:

  • Safely guide conscious connected breathwork sessions

  • Facilitate both private and group experiences

  • Recognize and support emotional expression

  • Adjust pacing based on nervous system responses

  • Hold clear, structured, and ethical containers

  • Integrate breathwork into your existing work or practice

You will leave with both the skills and the confidence to begin facilitating.

Who This Training Is For

This training is for you if:

  • You want to become a breathwork facilitator

  • You feel called to work with people in a deeper way

  • You are interested in the nervous system and somatic work

  • You value responsibility, ethics, and grounded facilitation

  • You want to build real skill — not just have an experience

This May Not Be For You If

  • You are looking for quick certification without depth

  • You want a script rather than learning to respond in real time

  • You are primarily seeking intense personal experiences

About the Approach

EarthBody is the framework that underpins this training.

It is a way of working with breath that is grounded in nervous system awareness, somatic practice, and lived experience.

This training draws from established breathwork practices, including training with David Elliott, alongside trauma-informed and somatic-based approaches.

Over the past several years, more than 100 facilitators have trained through this work many of whom now offer sessions, workshops, and community spaces in their own communities.

A Trauma-Informed Approach

This training is grounded in trauma-informed care and ethical responsibility.

We emphasize:

  • Consent as an ongoing, relational process

  • Participant autonomy and choice

  • Pacing over intensity

  • Recognizing signs of overwhelm and dysregulation

  • Working within scope of practice

Facilitation is not about pushing an experience.

It is about knowing when to guide, when to pause, and when to step back.

Participants are supported and also expected to take responsibility for their own pace, boundaries, and experience.

Training Structure

The EarthBody Breathwork Facilitator Training is offered through four in-person weekend modules.

You may attend individual levels for personal development, or complete all four levels to receive certification.

Total certification training hours: 65+ hours.

Trainings do not need to be taken in sequential order.

This work follows a cyclical, embodied model of learning rather than a strictly linear progression.
